A Note from Coach PC

I started racing in Triathlon in 1987 because it looked fun. I kept racing after I discovered it was fun. More than that; it was challenging, painful, surprising, and rewarding. I began coaching as a means to supplement my scant racing income in 1994. Then I discovered that ... not only did I enjoy it... but I was pretty good at it.

Since that time I have managed to make coaching a career that I love. I believe sport approaches the essence of life... the pain and pleasure of the individual journey... as well as the group experience of camaraderie. Traveling towards being a self actualized athlete is a process that always has you firmly fixed in the present moment; where exercise can become a means of active meditation.

It is my goal to help as many people as possible enjoy life more through sport. There is a dual nature to sport that involves working towards a race goal, time, place, or specific outcome... and the other ones involves the process of getting there. Results come only after focusing on the process and developing awareness of NOW. Where exactly are you...what are you doing... and how can you make it better. I can put some tools into your hands that will help you sharpen your axe... so to speak.

Endurance sports have become quite trendy and there are ever increasing numbers of athletes and products to prove it. ...not to mention flashy magazine ads. Amidst this; many claims towards secrets, and short-cuts to help you go faster. Well I would like to tell you the truth... there aren’t any real secrets. There are more roads than 1 to athletic-Babylon and many different ways to travel them. So many that these roads can become a maze.

I exist to guide you through that maze. Every one of you is unique in your background, skills, experience, lifestyle and goals. To get the most out of your training and racing it takes a coach who can choose the best paths... out of the possible many... and to point out others you may not realize exist. Then; design a map and guide you along. This is what I do. If you are interested in any of my services or just want to know more; call or e-mail me today.

Get on it... it’s never too late to turn it all around.

Exceed Your Expectations!
